Update on Corinna DK52

We are currently in possession of  ‘Corinna DK52' which we had planned to restore. However we have too many projects on the go and have her advertised currently as basically free to anyone that wants to take her on and get her back to sailing condition.

Currently she is sitting in a waterfront pool (minus the water) and while a conversation piece we’d much rather see her out sailing.

She is located in Abbotsford NSW on the Parramatta River. The following phtotos show her in situ. There is a little damage to the bow but not too significant. We have drilled a hole in the boat to prevent fresh water rotting out the timber which is in reasonable condition as can be seen from the photos.

We had been discussing having the boat destroyed but will give it one last shot at finding a new home before doing so.  We can assist with getting the boat from its current location to a boat ramp or marine facility or back in the water on the Parramatta River.

Latest News on Corinna -  Help save Corinna DKA52.   Several AIDA members are seeking support to have the 1956 Cuthbertson-built, for Ediss Boyes, huon pine classic wooden dragon conserved and even re-launched.
Corinna is believed to be one of few Australian Dragons built from the famed huon pine.

If you are interested in funding this project and assisting current owner Roger Kyle and Tasmanian Dragon Boat builder Zane Ridgeway to restore Corinna we need to hear from you! Contact Zane at info@r1dmarine.com
